Angy watches the groups you turn on to keep you on top of bookings and to-dos, and drafts replies for you to approve. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by WhatsApp or Meta. This page explains what leaves your device and what stays on the server.

What we collect

DataWhy
Account emailSign-in (one-time code) and account identity.
Your writing style and group notesTo shape drafts. You enter these yourself.
Messages in groups you turn watching on forTo spot bookings and to-dos and to give the model recent context. Stored in your account's own database.
Names from WhatsAppDisplay names that arrive with the messages you already receive (push names and any contact name WhatsApp shows) are stored so drafts and summaries can refer to people properly.
Bookings, appointments and to-dosTo remind you privately and to propose confirmations you approve.
Detected requests and questions (“open loops”)A short summary of a request Angy notices in a watched group that appears aimed at you — a brief description, an optional name, its status and timestamps. It is derived from your messages; it does not contain the message text.
Drafts, approvals, send statusSo you can review and approve the exact text, and see what was sent.
Summaries you ask Angy to keepWhen you ask Angy to summarise a group (for example “@Angy take note of the last 3 hours”), the summary is saved privately in your note bank. It is never posted to a group.
Your watching choices and consentTo know which groups are watched and that you agreed, with a timestamp and version.
Push tokenTo send you private nudges — a draft is ready, a booking was captured, a reminder is due, or a summary is ready (if notifications are enabled).
Waitlist email (website only)If you ask for closed-beta access on ken.com.my, we store that email address to add you to the Google Play tester list and to contact you about the beta. It is not linked to an Angy account.

We do not collect your phone's address book, your location, or advertising identifiers, and we do not use your data for advertising.

How watching and drafts work

When watching is on for a group, the app reads new messages in that group, and looks back within your plan's history window (3 days on Free, 7 on Plus, 30 on Pro), to find bookings and to-dos. To do that, or to draft a reply when you tag Angy, the app sends the message, recent group context, and your notes to the model provider you configure. That provider processes the text to return tasks or a draft. Nothing is shared beyond what is needed for that request.

Reminders are sent to you privately. Angy does not post to a group unless you approve it, except the opt-in paid auto-confirm timer (30/60/120 seconds), which is off by default.

Who can see your data

Storage & retention

Each account has its own database. Message text is stored there so Angy can give the model the recent context it needs, and it is removed when you delete your account. Drafts, approvals and send records are kept as your audit trail. Aggregate usage counters and subscription records are kept for billing reconciliation. See Delete account for exactly what is removed.

Angy also keeps some records derived from your messages — tasks and bookings, notes you ask it to keep, and short summaries of requests it notices (“open loops”). These are stored separately from the message text. When the original message is removed or redacted over time under our retention policy, the derived record is not removed with it: an open loop is kept until you close or dismiss it, expires on its own, and is removed when you delete your account. See Delete account.

Daily backups of these databases are kept as a rolling set of the most recent snapshots, pruned automatically, and stored encrypted off the server. Data from a deleted account ages out as those snapshots are pruned. Server logs record events such as sign-ins and errors; they do not contain message content or email addresses.

Closed-beta waitlist. A request for beta access is stored separately from any Angy account. Your waitlist entry is kept until you ask us to remove it, and beta access is administered by hand. Removing your waitlist entry and deleting an account are separate actions: deleting your account does not remove a waitlist entry, and removing a waitlist entry does not delete an account. Email us to remove your waitlist entry at any time.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Account data is stored under per-account directories readable only by the service account. WhatsApp session credentials are stored on the server and can be revoked by unlinking the device in WhatsApp.
